3F Filippi illuminates the award-winning architecture of Pratic 2.0, designed by GEZA Architecture

As part of the design of industrial plants, few Italian projects have recently achieved the success of the expansion of the Pratic f.lli Orioli Spa headquarters in Fagagna (UD). As for the construction of the Headquarters, which took place seven years ago, the leading company in the production of awnings and outdoor pergolas has again relied on the Udine studio for an expansion of the production area, which now has an additional volume of 9000 square meters.

The Pratic 2.0 project has been acclaimed nationally and internationally, as evidenced by the victory of the Architect A + Award (popular jury award), the Dedalo Minosse Special Prize to the client of Architecture 2018/2019, as well as the nomination to the Dezeen Awards (project selected within the Longlist). Both in the production area of ​​the first structure in 2011, and in the recently built one, the lighting project developed by the engineering company E4F of Pordenone provided for the use of 3F Filippi luminaires, although the technological evolution of these have led to the choice of a different luminaire. While in the first batch, in fact, the 3F CUBs were chosen, the creation of Pratic 2.0 saw the use of the 3F LEM 2HO. The lighting fitting in question is made with large injection-molded lenses, allows different photometric distributions (in this case the version with a wide distribution of the luminous flux has been chosen), and is characterized by the modules capable of dissipating the heat, reducing maintenance costs over the years. The system has been designed in such a way that the quantity of light allows to appreciate the smallest details of the products during the various processing phases: the use of latest generation LED sources has contributed to significantly raising the quality of the provided lighting. “We chose 3F LEM - explains Marco Secco of E4F - because compared to the competition it is characterized by its aesthetics and excellent color rendering, useful for the activity carried out and at a greater level of uniformity, despite the reduction in the number of lighting fixtures. Concerning the performance on consumption, although for Pratic 2.0 was chosen an ON / OFF wiring, the adoption of more efficient technologies has led to a consumption of 22% lower than the existing part, in which was chosen the DALI dimmable wiring ”.
