Training without glare: the right light to perform at your best!
When designing a gymnasium, light is often considered a secondary element. But lighting is more than just a technical "accessory": it is a key component in ensuring well-being, safety and performance.
Less glare, more concentration
The gym is a dynamic space where concentration and clear vision are essential. Poorly designed lighting, such as unshielded sources or improperly positioned fixtures, can generate glare, fatiguing the eye and disturbing visual perception. This phenomenon is particularly evident in activities that require close attention, rapid movement or interaction with machinery and equipment, just think of basketball, volleyball or crossfit, etc., where light should accompany the action, not hinder it. A glaring environment can impair the perception of obstacles, edges, moving people, ... thus causing the risk of falls, errors in judgment, and/or accidents related to loss of visibility.
How do we achieve a high-performance, glare-free light?
To achieve a visually comfortable and high-performing environment, it is essential to combine: • Controlled optics, to limit direct vision of the source. • Homogeneous distribution of luminous flux. • Low luminance and high efficiency LED technologies for energy saving without sacrificing quality. • Advanced lighting simulations using special software. A well-lit gym is a space in which to move with confidence, train with serenity, and return with pleasure.
It is a place where light works for well-being, inconspicuously - but it makes a difference.
