An important project confirms the excellence achieved by the company in the large-scale retail field.

A lighting project for big sales area ia always a challenge: being those structures so complex, divided into different spaces and different by features and use, the light designer has to "interpeter" these surfaces, in order to choose the most performing light fittings, so to provide a very good light and, at the same time, minimize the energy consumption.

This kind of challenge was taken (and won) by 3F Filippi with the light design delivered for the Piedmont Novacoop supermarkets, which needed high efficiency lighting, without compromising on quality, for sales areas visited by tens of thousands clients every day. In the areas intended for the display of goods for sale, one chose the 3F Linux modular LED system. This suspension light fitting is made of a load-bearing structure equipped with a through wiring and lighting modules, with different lighting distribution designed to satisfy any technical requirements It was installed in continuous rows, suspended to 4 mt in height. To enhance the displayed goods on the shelves, and provide the best visual comforts to clients, one chose to use an optimized optics for the luminous flux, with 4000K light sources, in order to assure more than averaged 500 vertical lux on the shelves.

For the butcher, fresh food, fish and bakery corners one chose light fittings such as L320 LED and 3F Travetta LED, equipped with low glaring diffusers or with high efficiency parabolic optics, which deliver an equally comfortable lighting for the clients sight. In the registers areas 3F Filippi suspension light fittings were provided, as these surfaces needed a lighting which could allow the cashiers to work easely, with no glaring coming from the digital screens.

In the Novacoop supermarket 3F Filippi also provided the light design for the logistic areas: the werehouses were lighted up by 3F Linda Ampio light fittings, installed by using appropriate stainless steel mounting brackets. This choice of this specific product was due to its low energy consumption, which are foundamental in areas like these, where artificial lighting is needed for many hours each day. Moreover, due to the environmental characteristics of these plases, such as the eventual umidity and a strong presence of dust, 3F Linda LED was the best choice for its high degree of protection (IP 65).
