Gessi, synonym of excellence of Made in Italy all over the world which can undoubtedly claim the title of Superbrand, achieved thanks to a clear and innovative vision that has allowed it to consolidate its recognizability at an international level, identifies today as a point of reference for the design of furnishing objects for bathroom, kitchen and wellness.

These are the premises that guided 3F Filippi in the development of an ambitious relamping project aimed at illuminating the 43 thousand square metres of the Gessi factories, located within a multifunctional industrial pole of over 800 thousand square metres that combines technology, eco-architecture and landscaping.

In the project to replace 3F Cub Fluo 4x55 VT were used:

• 3F LEM 2 Wide in the ON/OFF version (for Gessi plants 1 and 2);
• 3F LEM 2 Wide in the DALI version (for Gessi plant 3).

It is a modular luminaire with excellent performances, made of die-cast aluminium and developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna.

By adopting LED technology, energy consumption has been more than halved, from 236 W per luminaire of fluorescence to the current 108 W, while maintaining the same lighting points.

In an industrial context characterised by Mr Gessi’s collection of historic motorbikes and the greenery of the plants along the production line, 727 LEM 2 100/850 ON/OFF Wide and 260 LEM 2 100/850 DALI Wide luminaires now light up the entire surface area offering an average illuminance of 350 lux on the task area, thus fully satisfying the high levels of luminous uniformity requested. These special 3F LEM were specified at 5000K, on Gessi’s specific request, restoring the perfect colour rendering and finishes of Gessi products.

The installation pitch between the luminaires was already studied to optimize the number of lighting points, making the system efficient and containing consumption, while guaranteeing the required comfort and luminance.

3F Filippi’s high-performance, efficient and environmentally friendly LED solutions proudly illuminate the production of over 25 thousand GESSI products a day.
